Niykee has experienced many a hectic few years which included being selected by Snoop to join Snoop at the YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee has a regular songwriting routine even though she has been a bit busy. The singer-songwriter is attracted to Niykee, who is always looking at most recent beats. They often inspire songs. After just five seconds that I can determine whether a beat is worth it. From there I can get an idea of a complete song inside my head and start to write. I sit on my back porch with my guitar and the words just come and usually it's finished in just 30 minutes. Niykee says that when she matures as a singer-songwriter her painful memories from her youth serve as source of inspiration. My experience of pain as a child in my youth as well as losing my younger sister is still reflected in my lyrics even if they're not literal. The grief of losing my sister, and the memories of my childhood influences the songs I write. It's important to me to find a deeper significance to all I perform.
