Summer glau

Firefly is Whedon the next big hit television series. It is likely that she left a lasting impression, because this single episode was the catalyst for her becoming an acclaimed actress. Summer Glau played River Tam with great ease. Glau was an excellent actor. The character of Summer Glau, Tam was forced into government tests in order to prepare her to play the perfect assassin. Tam had difficulty learning to control her emotions as a result. Glau got the chance to show off not only her acting abilities but also her combat skills as a character in Firefly. Glau's training as an assassin allowed her an opportunity to make use of all of her athletic abilities. Summer Glau is a classically trained ballerina. She has also studied Flamenco and Tango, however her foot injury caused her to stop dancing. Firefly lasted only one season, but gained a passionate fan base. So passionate that Whedon returned to the show after a few years. Summer Glau was still getting quality work in the interim.
