Dua Lipa, an English artist and singer was born in London, on 22 August 1995. Her debut self-titled album debuted in 2017 following her been signed by Warner Bros Records. The album reached third place at the U.K. Albums Chart and released eight singles, including Be The One I.D.G.A.F as well as the U.K. top-ranked single New Rules which peaked at 6th on the charts in the United States. Lipa was awarded the Brit Awards for British female solo artist as well as British breakout act in the year 2018. The album was rated platinum in the world. Dua Lipa was conceived at the age of 18 in London with Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin Lilipa (father). She has Bosnian descent through her maternal grandmother. Additionally, you can trace back her ancestors in Peja, the Kosovo village of Peja. Lipa's grandfathers are both historians. There are two sisters, Rina Gjin and Gjin. Her father, a guitarist and lead singer of Kosovan group Oda has influenced her in a musical way. At the age of nine she learned how to sing. Lipa sang Beautiful Christina Aguilera's Beautiful And If Ain't Give It To You by Alicia Keys. Lipa signed with Warner Bros. Records a contract in the year 2014. In August 2015, her debut single New Love came out.
